Hadith 3064

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I was present with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he led the prayer before the sermon on the day of Eid. Then he delivered the sermon. Afterwards, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) thought that the women might not have heard his voice, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to the women and admonished and advised them, and instructed them to give charity. Upon this, the women began to take off their earrings and rings, etc., and started giving them in charity. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to collect those things, and then he returned.
