ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 3040

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ " أَنَّ أُمَّ حُفَيْدٍ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ حَزْنٍ ، خَالَةَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَهْدَتْ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمْنًا وَأَقِطًا وَأَضُبًّا ، قَالَ : فَدَعَا بِهِنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأُكِلْنَ عَلَى مَائِدَتِهِ ، وَتَرَكَهُنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَالْمُتَقَذِّرِ ، فَلَوْ كُنَّ حَرَامًا ، مَا أُكِلْنَ عَلَى مَائِدَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَا أَمَرَ بِأَكْلِهِنَّ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once his maternal aunt, Sayyida Umm Hufaid (may Allah be pleased with her), presented clarified butter, lizard, and cheese as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate some of the clarified butter and cheese, but due to dislike, he left the lizard. However, others ate it from the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) dining mat. If eating it had been forbidden, it could never have been eaten at the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) dining mat, nor would the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) have permitted it to be eaten.
