Ikrimah says that once I saw a man who entered the mosque and started praying while standing; he would say the takbeer while raising his head, bowing, and rising from the two rak'ahs. Finding this strange, I mentioned this incident to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "May your mother lose you! Was not the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) like this?"
