It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to review the Noble Qur'an with Jibreel Amin (peace be upon him) every year. In the year in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, he reviewed it twice, and the final recitation was that of Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him).
