It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been commanded to perform two rak‘ahs of Duha prayer, but you have not been commanded; and sacrifice has been made obligatory upon me even if I do not possess wealth, but it is not obligatory upon you if you do not possess wealth."
