ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2909

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " كُلُّ حِلْفٍ كَانَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ، لَمْ يَزِدْهُ الْإِسْلَامُ إِلَّا شِدَّةً ، أَوْ حِدَّةً " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), in a marfu‘ form, that Islam has only increased the intensity or strictness of every covenant and pact of the Age of Ignorance.
