ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2898

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ السَّبَائِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَعْلَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ سَبَأٍ ، مَا هُوَ أَرَجُلٌ أَمْ امْرَأَةٌ أَمْ أَرْضٌ ؟ فَقَالَ : " بَلْ هُوَ رَجُلٌ وَلَدَ عَشَرَةً ، فَسَكَنَ الْيَمَنَ مِنْهُمْ سِتَّةٌ ، وَبِالشَّامِ مِنْهُمْ أَرْبَعَةٌ ، فَأَمَّا الْيَمَانِيُّونَ : فَمَذْحِجٌ وَكِنْدَةُ وَالْأَزْدُ وَالْأَشْعَرِيُّونَ وَأَنْمَارٌ وَحِمْيَرُ ، عَرَبًاء كُلَّهَا ، وَأَمَّا الشَّامِيَّةُ فَلَخْمٌ وَجُذَامُ وَعَامِلَةُ وَغَسَّانُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Is Saba the name of a man, a woman, or a region?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "It is the name of a man who had ten sons. Six of them settled in Yemen and four in Syria. Those who settled in Yemen were: Madhhij, Kindah, Azd, Ash'ariyyin, Anmar, and all the Arabs of Himyar. And those who settled in Syria were: Lakhm, Juzam, Amilah, and Ghassan."
