حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا
ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي
عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ . . . فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ أَيُّوبَ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : فَقَالَ
ابْنُ عُمَرَ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، وَهُوَ مُوَاجِهُهُ : أَلَا تَنْهَى عَنِ الْبُكَاءِ ، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ لَيُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ " .
This narration is also reported through another chain, however, in this version it is also mentioned that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, said to Amr bin Uthman, who was right in front of him, "Why do you not stop these women who are weeping?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The deceased is punished because of the weeping of his family over him."
