ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2784

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ ، عَنْ هِلَالٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ الْيَهُودِ أَهْدَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَاةً مَسْمُومَةً ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهَا ، فَقَالَ : " مَا حَمَلَكِ عَلَى مَا صَنَعْتِ ؟ " قَالَتْ : أَحْبَبْتُ أَوْ أَرَدْتُ إِنْ كُنْتَ نَبِيًّا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَيُطْلِعُكَ عَلَيْهِ ، وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ نَبِيًّا أُرِيحُ النَّاسَ مِنْكَ ! . (حديث مرفوع) (حديث موقوف) قَالَ : وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا وَجَدَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا ، احْتَجَمَ . قَالَ : " فَسَافَرَ مَرَّةً ، فَلَمَّا أَحْرَمَ ، وَجَدَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا ، فَاحْتَجَمَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once a Jewish woman presented poisoned meat of a goat to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate a morsel or so and immediately stopped eating, and the woman was summoned. He asked her, "Why did you do this?" She replied, "I intended that if you are truly a Prophet, Allah will inform you about it, and if you are not a Prophet, then people will be rid of you through me." The narrator says that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) felt the effects of this poison, he would have cupping done. That is why, once when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out on a journey and put on Ihram, he felt some effects of it, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done.
