Hadith 2767

Kuraib (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw Abdullah bin Harith praying, who had tied his hair in a knot at the back. He went behind him and began to untie his hair. Abdullah allowed him to untie the hair. After finishing the prayer, he turned towards Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and said, "What concern do you have with my head?" He replied, "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'The example of one who prays in this manner is like that of a person who prays with his hands tied behind his back.'"
