(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
أَسْوَدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا
هُرَيْمٌ ، عَنْ
لَيْثٍ ، عَنْ
عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَتَفَاءَلُ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُ ، وَيُعْجِبُهُ الِاسْمُ الْحَسَنُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to take good omens, did not entertain evil suspicions, and he (peace be upon him) liked good names.
