حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ , قَالَ : حدثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي خَالَتِي فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ ، قَالَتْ : أَتَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهَا : يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، قَدْ خَشِيتُ أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ لِي حَظٌّ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَأَنْ أَكُونَ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، أَمْكُثُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنْ يَوْمِ أُسْتَحَاضُ ، فَلَا أُصَلِّي لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ صَلَاةً ، قَالَتْ : اجْلِسِي حَتَّى يَجِيءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَلَمَّا جَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، هَذِهِ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ تَخْشَى أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ لَهَا حَظٌّ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَأَنْ تَكُونَ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، تَمْكُثُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنْ يَوْمِ تُسْتَحَاضُ ، فَلَا تُصَلِّي لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ صَلَاةً ، فَقَالَ : " مُرِي فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ ، فَلْتُمْسِكْ كُلَّ شَهْرٍ عَدَدَ أَيَّامِ أَقْرَائِهَا ، ثُمَّ تَغْتَسِلُ ، وَتَحْتَشِي ، وَتَسْتَثْفِرُ ، وَتَنَظَّفُ ، ثُمَّ تَطَهَّرُ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ ، وَتُصَلِّي ، فَإِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ رَكْضَةٌ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ، أَوْ عِرْقٌ انْقَطَعَ ، أَوْ دَاءٌ عَرَضَ لَهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I came to Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and said to her, "O Mother of the Believers! I am afraid that perhaps I may have no share in Islam and I may become among the people of Hell, for I remain in the state of bleeding for as long as Allah wills and I am unable to perform any prayer for Allah." She said, "Sit down until the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) comes." When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came, she said, "O Messenger of Allah! This is Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh. She fears that perhaps she may have no share in Islam and may become among the people of Hell, because she remains in the state of bleeding for as long as Allah wills and she is unable to perform any prayer for Allah." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Tell Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh that she should refrain (from prayer) for the number of days of her (usual monthly) menstruation, then she should perform ghusl, wrap a cloth well around her body, and after attaining purity for every prayer time, she should perform the prayer. This is a prick from Satan, or a vein that has been cut, or an illness that has afflicted her."
