حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي الْمَوَالِي ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ حَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ سَلْمَى , خَادِمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : مَا سَمِعْتُ أَحَدًا قَطُّ يَشْكُو إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَعًا فِي رَأْسِهِ إِلَّا قَالَ : " احْتَجِمْ " ، وَلَا وَجَعًا فِي رِجْلَيْهِ , إِلَّا قَالَ : " اخْضِبْهُمَا بِالْحِنَّاءِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Salma (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the servant of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that whenever I heard anyone complaining of a headache in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would say to them, "Get cupping done." And whenever anyone complained of pain in their feet, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would say, "Apply henna on them."
