حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ , عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ , قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ الشَّامَ , فَدَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ , فَصَلَّيْتُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ , وَقُلْتُ : اللَّهُمَّ يَسِّرْ لِي جَلِيسًا صَالِحًا , فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ.
Narrated to us Aswad ibn ‘Amir, narrated to us Isra’il, from al-Mughira, from Ibrahim, from ‘Alqama, who said: I came to al-Sham, and entered the mosque, and prayed two rak‘ahs, and said: O Allah, grant me a righteous companion. Then he mentioned the meaning of the hadith of Shu‘bah.
