Hadith 27523

وحَدَّثَنَاه عَفَّانُ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ , حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ , عَنْ سَالِمٍ , عَنْ مَعْدَانَ , عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " أَيَعْجِزُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ , " , فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ .
And it was narrated to us by Affan, who said: Aban narrated to us, who said: Qatadah narrated to us, from Salim, from Ma‘dan, from Abu al-Darda’, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Is any one of you incapable of reciting," and he mentioned its meaning.
