It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: «اَللّٰهُمَّلَكَأَسْلَمْتُوَبِكَآمَنْتُوَعَلَيْكَتَوَكَّلْتُوَإِلَيْكَأَنَبْتُوَبِكَخَاصَمْتُأَعُوذُبِعِزَّتِكَلَاإِلٰهَإِلَّاأَنْتَأَنْتُضِلَّنِيأَنْتَالْحَيُّالَّذِيلَاتَمُوتُوَالْجِنُّوَالْإِنْسُيَمُوتُونَ» "O Allah! I have submitted to You, I have believed in You, I have put my trust in You, I have turned to You, by Your power I contend, I seek refuge in Your dominance, there is no deity except You, from the possibility that You misguide me. You are the Ever-Living who never dies, and all jinn and mankind will die."
