Narrated from Hazrat Umm Alaa (may Allah be pleased with her), who was among the Ansari women, that she pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and lots were drawn among the Ansar for the accommodation of the emigrants. Our guest, Hazrat Uthman bin Maz'oon (may Allah be pleased with him), fell ill after coming to us, and we continued to nurse him. When he passed away, we wrapped him in a shroud. The Prophet (peace be upon him) came to us, and I said: "O Abu Sa'ib! May Allah's mercy descend upon you. I bear witness that Allah has honored you." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Certainty has now come to him from his Lord. I hope for good for him, but by Allah, even though I am Allah's Messenger, I do not know what will happen to me." I said: "By Allah! After today, I will never declare anyone's purity." I was saddened by this incident, and in that state, I fell asleep. I saw in a dream that a spring was flowing for Hazrat Uthman bin Maz'oon (may Allah be pleased with him). I went to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and mentioned this dream. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "That was his deeds."
