It is narrated from Hazrat Durrah bint Abi Lahab (may Allah be pleased with her) that once a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the pulpit: "Who is the best among the people?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "The one who recites the Qur'an the most, is most God-fearing, enjoins what is right and forbids what is wrong, and maintains the ties of kinship the most."
