Hadith 27416

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : ذَكَرَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ , عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ , عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ , قَالَتْ : دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَاقِدٌ بِأُصْبُعَيْهِ السَّبَّابَةِ بِالْإِبْهَامِ , وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدْ اقْتَرَبَ , فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ مَوْضِعِ الدِّرْهَمِ " , قَالَتْ : فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , أَنَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ ؟ ! قَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَعَمْ , إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Zainab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up from sleep and his blessed face was red, and he was saying: “«لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ» Woe to the Arabs from the evil that has drawn near! Today, a hole as big as this has been opened in the barrier of Gog and Magog,” and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made a circle with his finger to show its size. I asked: O Messenger of Allah! Will we be destroyed while there are righteous people among us? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Yes, when filth increases (then it happens so).”
