حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ , عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ , أَنَّ أَبَا مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى أُمِّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَخْبَرَهُ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ , تَقُولُ : ذَهَبْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ , فَوَجَدْتُهُ يَغْتَسِلُ , وَفَاطِمَةُ ابْنَتُهُ تَسْتُرُهُ بِثَوْبٍ , قَالَتْ : فَسَلَّمْتُ , فَقَالَ : " مَنْ هَذِهِ ؟ " , قال : قلَتْ : أُمُّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ , فَقَالَ : " مَرْحَبًا بِأُمِّ هَانِئٍ " , قَالَتْ : فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ غُسْلِهِ , قَامَ , فَصَلَّى ثَمَانِيَ رَكَعَاتٍ , مُلْتَحِفًا فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ , ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ , فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , زَعَمَ ابْنُ أُمِّي أَنَّهُ قَاتِلٌ رَجُلًا أَجَرْتُهُ فُلَانَ ابْنَ هُبَيْرَةَ , فَقَالَ : " قَدْ أَجَرْنَا مَنْ أَجَرْتِ يَا أُمَّ هَانِئٍ " , فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ هَانِئٍ : وَذَاكَ ضُحًى.
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, I granted protection to my two brothers-in-law "who were among the polytheists." Meanwhile, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived, covered in dust and wrapped in a cloak. Upon seeing me, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Welcome, Umm Hani." I submitted: O Messenger of Allah! I have granted protection to my two brothers-in-law "who were among the polytheists." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever you have granted protection, we also grant protection; whoever you have given safety, we also give safety." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), she brought water, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ghusl (ritual bath) with it. Then, wrapping himself well in a cloth, he offered eight rak‘ahs (units of prayer). This happened at the time of forenoon (duha) on the day of the conquest of Makkah.
