Musnad Ahmad
ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2729
اُردوEn
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَلِّمُنَا مِنَ الْحُمَّى وَالْأَوْجَاعِ : " بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الْكَبِيرِ ، أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ ، مِنْ شَرِّ عِرْقٍ نَعَّارٍ ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَرِّ النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to teach us this supplication for protection from fever and every kind of pain and suffering: «بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الْكَبِيرِ أَعُوذُ بِاللّٰهِ الْعَظِيمِ مِنْ شَرِّ عِرْقٍ نَعَّارٍ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَرِّ النَّارِ» "In the name of Allah, the Most Great, I seek refuge with Allah, the Most Mighty, from the evil of the blazing fire and the heat of Hell."
