حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَدَّتِي , تُحَدِّثُ : أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِنًى , دَعَا لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ , فَقِيلَ لَهُ : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ فَقَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ : " والْمُقَصِّرِينَ " .
Yahya bin Husain narrates from his grandmother that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say three times: "May Allah's mercy be upon those who shave their heads." The third time, the people requested that those who shorten their hair also be included in the supplication, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) included them as well.
