حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ , عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ التُّجِيبِيِّ مِنْ كِنْدَةَ , عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حُدَيْجٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنْ كَانَ فِي شَيْءٍ شِفَاءٌ , فَفِي شَرْطَةٍ مِنْ مِحْجَمٍ , أَوْ شَرْبَةٍ مِنْ عَسَلٍ , أَوْ كَيَّةٍ بِنَارٍ تُصِيبُ أَلَمًا , وَمَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَكْتَوِيَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If there is any cure in anything, it is in the instrument of cupping, or in a sip of honey, or in cauterization with fire at the place of pain, but I do not like cauterization with fire."
