Hadith 27215

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْنَا لِخَبَّابٍ : هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَقُلْنَا : بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كُنْتُمْ تَعْرِفُونَ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ : فَقَال : " بِاضْطِرَابِ لِحْيَتِهِ " .
Abu Ma'mar says that we asked Hazrat Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him), "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recite (aloud) in the Zuhr and Asr prayers?" He replied, "Yes!" We asked, "How did you know?" He said, "Because of the movement of the blessed beard of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
