It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once a man set out on a journey, and two men started following him. Behind those two men, there was another man who was telling them to turn back. He kept telling them until both of them turned back. He said to the traveler, "These two were devils. I kept following them until I succeeded in sending them back. When you reach the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), convey my greetings to him and give him this message: We have collected some charity; if it is appropriate for him, we will send it to him." After this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade traveling alone.
