Hadith 27170

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَقْدَمُ مِنْ سَفَرٍ إِلَّا فِي الضُّحَى ، فَيَبْدَأُ بِالْمَسْجِدِ فَيُصَلِّي فِيهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، وَيَقْعُدُ فِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from a journey at the time of Duha (forenoon), he would first go to the mosque, perform two rak'ahs, and sit there for a while.
