ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2714

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْنِي النَّهْشَلِيَّ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ثَمَانِيَ رَكَعَاتٍ ، وَيُوتِرُ بِثَلَاثٍ ، وَيُصَلِّ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ ، فَلَمَّا كَبِرَ ، صَارَ إِلَى تِسْعٍ : وَسِتٍّ وَثَلَاثٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that in the beginning, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer eighteen rak‘ahs at night, three rak‘ahs of witr, and two rak‘ahs (of the sunnah of Fajr). But when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) grew older, their number was reduced to nine, six, and three.
