It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Sulayman (may Allah be pleased with her) that she saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stoning the Jamrah Aqabah from the bottom of the valley. There was a man behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) who was protecting him from being hit by people's stones, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) was saying: "O people! None of you should kill anyone, and when you stone, do so with pebbles like the pieces of pottery." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) moved forward, and a woman came to him with her son and said, "O Messenger of Allah! My son has lost his mind, please pray to Allah for him." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to her: "Bring me water." So she brought water in a stone vessel. The Prophet (peace be upon him) put his saliva in it, washed his face in it, and after supplicating, said: "Go and bathe him with this water, and continue to hope and pray to Allah for healing." The narrator says that I asked Umm Sulayman (may Allah be pleased with her) to give me a little of that water for my son as well. So I dipped my fingers in and took a little water, and wetted my son's body with it, and he became completely well. Umm Sulayman (may Allah be pleased with her) says that later I inquired about that woman and was told that her child had become completely healthy.
