Narrated from Hazrat Umm Tariq (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the freed slave of Hazrat Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him), that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Hazrat Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) and sought permission to enter. Hazrat Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) remained silent. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sought permission three times, and each time he remained silent, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned back. Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) sent me after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, “There was nothing preventing us from granting you permission, but we wanted you to pray for our well-being as much as possible.” Umm Tariq (may Allah be pleased with her) further says that then I heard someone’s voice at the door seeking permission, but nothing could be seen. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, “Who are you?” She said, “I am Umm Mildam (fever).” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “No welcome to you. Do you know the way to the people of Quba?” She said, “Yes.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Then go there.”
