حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْلَى الطَّائِفِيَّ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنْ مَوْلَاتِهِ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ كَرْدَمٍ ، قَالَتْ : كُنْتُ رِدْفَ أَبِي ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَسْأَلُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ أَنْ أَنْحَرَ بِبُوَانَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَبِهَا وَثَنٌ أَمْ طَاغِيَةٌ ؟ " فَقَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : " أَوْفِ بِنَذْرِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Maymunah bint Kardam (may Allah be pleased with her) that I met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in Makkah Mukarramah. At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was riding his camel, and I was riding behind him with my father. Hazrat Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) says that my father asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I had made a vow that I would slaughter fifty goats on the peak of Buwana." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Is there any idol or anything like that there?" He replied: "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then fulfill the vow you made for Allah."
