Hadith 2704

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to one of his daughters (his daughter's daughter, i.e., his granddaughter), who was in the throes of death. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took her and placed her in his lap, and in that state her soul departed. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his head and said, "All praise is due to Allah," and said: "There is only good for the believer, and when the soul of the believer departs from both his sides, he is praising Allah."
