حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي الرُّبَيِّعُ بِنْتُ مُعَوِّذِ بْنِ عَفْرَاءَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَأْتِينَا ، فَيُكْثِرُ ، فَأَتَانَا فَوَضَعْنَا لَهُ الْمِيضَأَةَ ، فَتَوَضَّأَ ، فَغَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ، وَمَضْمَضَ ، وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ، مَرَّةً مَرَّةً ، وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا ، وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ، وَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِمَا بَقِيَ مِنْ وَضُوئِهِ فِي يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ ، بَدَأَ بِمُؤَخَّرِهِ ، ثُمَّ رَدَّ يَدَهُ إِلَى نَاصِيَتِهِ ، وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ، وَمَسَحَ أُذُنَيْهِ مُقَدَّمَهُمَا وَمُؤَخَّرَهُمَا " .
Abdullah bin Muhammad says that once Hazrat Rabi’ (may Allah be pleased with her) told me that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to come to our place often. I used to draw water for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in this vessel. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would first pour water over both his hands, then wash his face three times, rinse his mouth three times, put water into his nose three times, wash his right hand three times and his left hand three times, wipe his head from front to back, then wash his feet three times, and also wipe his ears from front to back.
