Hadith 27013

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ ، عَنْ امْرَأَتِهِ ، عَنْ أُخْتِ حُذَيْفَةَ وَكُنَّ لَهُ أَخَوَاتٌ قَدْ أَدْرَكْنَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَتْ : خَطَبَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ ، أَلَيْسَ لَكُنَّ فِي الْفِضَّةِ مَا تَحَلَّيْنَ به ؟ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَيْسَتْ مِنْكُنَّ امْرَأَةٌ تَتَحَلَّى ذَهَبًا تُظْهِرُهُ ، إِلَّا عُذِّبَتْ بِهِ " .
It is narrated from the sister of Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed us in a sermon and said: "O group of women! Would silver jewelry not be sufficient for you? Remember! Any woman among you who wears gold for display will be subjected to punishment on the Day of Resurrection."
