Ibn Jurayj says that my father narrated this hadith to me: When the Prophet (peace be upon him) passed away, people did not know where the grave of the Prophet (peace be upon him) should be made. Until Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) resolved this issue by saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say that every Prophet is buried at the place where he passes away. Thus, the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) lifted the blessed bed of the Prophet (peace be upon him), dug the grave beneath it, and the burial took place there.
