Hadith 26987

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا لِي شَيْءٌ إِلَّا مَا أَدْخَلَ الزُّبَيْرُ عَلَى بَيْتِي ، فَأُعْطِي مِنْهُ ؟ قَالَ : " أَعْطِي ، وَلَا تُوكِي ، فَيُوكِيَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Asma that once I said to the Prophet (peace be upon him) that I have nothing to give in charity except what Zubair brings home. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Spend and do not count, lest it be counted for you as well.
