Muslim says that I asked Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) about Hajj Tamattu', so he permitted it, while Ibn Zubair used to prohibit it. Ibn Abbas said that only the mother of Ibn Zubair tells that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) permitted it; you should go and ask her. We went to her; she was a heavy-bodied, blind woman, and she said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) permitted it.
