Hadith 26934

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهَا : " أَنْفِقِي أَوْ ارْضَخِي وَلَا تُحْصِي ، فَيُحْصِيَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكِ ، وَلَا تُوعِي ، فَيُوعِيَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Asma that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to me: Be generous and open-handed, and spend (in the way of Allah); do not hoard, otherwise Allah will also withhold from you. And do not spend by counting (stingily), lest Allah also start giving you by counting.
