Hadith 26926

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ , عَنْ هِشَامٍ , عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بنت المنذر ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ ، قَالَتْ : إِنَّهَا كَانَتْ إِذَا أُتِيَتْ بِالْمَرْأَةِ لِتَدْعُوَ لَهَا ، صَبَّتْ الْمَاءَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ جَيْبِهَا ، وَقَالَتْ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نُبْرِدَهَا بِالْمَاءِ ، وَقَالَ : " إِنَّهَا مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Asma that when a woman was brought to her for supplication, she would pour water into her collar (after reciting) and would say that the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded us to cool fever with water and said that fever is the effect of the heat of Hell.
