حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، قَالَتْ : أَتَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ امْرَأَةٌ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، الْمَرْأَةُ يُصِيبُهَا مِنْ دَمِ حَيْضِهَا ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لِتَحُتَّهُ ، ثُمَّ لِتَقْرِضْهُ بِمَاءٍ ، ثُمَّ لِتُصَلِّي فِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Asma that a woman came to the court of the Prophet and said, "O Messenger of Allah, if menstrual blood gets on a woman's body (or clothes), what is the ruling?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Scrape it off, then wash it with water, and pray in it."
