حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ : أَفْرِدُوا بِالْحَجِّ ، وَدَعُوا قَوْلَ هَذَا يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ : أَلَا تَسْأَلُ أُمَّكَ عَنْ هَذَا ؟ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : صَدَقَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُجَّاجًا ، فَأَمَرَنَا ، فَجَعَلْنَاهَا عُمْرَةً ، فَحَلَّ لَنَا الْحَلَالُ ، حَتَّى سَطَعَتْ الْمَجَامِرُ بَيْنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالرِّجَالِ " .
Mujahid says that Abdullah bin Zubair said: "Perform Hajj Ifrad and leave Ibn Abbas's opinion." Ibn Abbas said: "Why don't you ask your mother?" So he sent a messenger to Asma (his mother), and she said: "Ibn Abbas is right. We set out with the intention of Hajj along with the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded us, so we made it the Ihram of Umrah, and everything became permissible for us as before, to the extent that even braziers were lit between men and women."
