Hadith 26913

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ ، , قَالَتْ : أَتَتْنِي أُمِّي رَاغِبَةً فِي عَهْدِ قُرَيْشٍ ، وَهِيَ مُشْرِكَةٌ ، فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَصِلُهَا ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Asma that once my mother came during the time of the treaty with the Quraysh, and at that time she was a polytheist. I asked the Prophet (peace be upon him), "Can I maintain ties of kinship with her?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Yes." It is narrated from Hazrat Asma that once my mother came during the time of the treaty with the Quraysh, and at that time she was a polytheist... Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith.
