حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ , وَعَفَّانُ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ ، سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتُحَرِّمُ الْمَصَّةُ ؟ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا " , وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ ، فَذَكَرَهُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm al-Fadl that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) was in my house when a Bedouin came and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Does the prohibition of suckling become established by drinking one or two sips of milk?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "The prohibition of suckling is not established by one or two sips."
