حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ مَوْلَى أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ , أَنَّهُمْ تَمَارَوْا فِي صَوْمِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ ، " فَبَعَثَتْ إِلَيْهِ بِقَدَحٍ فِيهِ لَبَنٌ ، فَشَرِبَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm al-Fadl that (on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage) on the day of Arafah, the people were in doubt about the fasting of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Hazrat Umm al-Fadl said, "I will find out and inform you." So she sent milk to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and the Prophet (peace be upon him) drank it.
