حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ قَابُوسَ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُخَارِقِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ ، قَالَتْ : رَأَيْتُ كَأَنَّ فِي بَيْتِي عُضْوًا مِنْ أَعْضَاءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَتْ : فَجَزِعْتُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " خَيْرًا ، تَلِدُ فَاطِمَةُ غُلَامًا ، فَتَكْفُلِينَهُ بِلَبَنِ ابْنِكِ قُثَمٍ " , قَالَتْ : فَوَلَدَتْ حَسَنًا ، فَأُعْطِيتُهُ ، فَأَرْضَعْتُهُ حَتَّى تَحَرَّكَ أَوْ فَطَمْتُهُ ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَجْلَسْتُهُ فِي حِجْرِهِ ، فَبَالَ ، فَضَرَبْتُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : " ارْفُقِي بِابْنِي ، رَحِمَكِ اللَّهُ أَوْ أَصْلَحَكِ اللَّهُ أَوْجَعْتِ ابْنِي " , قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، اخْلَعْ إِزَارَكَ ، وَالْبَسْ ثَوْبًا غَيْرَهُ حَتَّى أَغْسِلَهُ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا يُغْسَلُ بَوْلُ الْجَارِيَةِ ، وَيُنْضَحُ بَوْلُ الْغُلَامِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm al-Fadl that once I saw in a dream as if a part of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) body had come into my house. I became very worried because of this dream. I went to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and mentioned my dream. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “You have seen a good dream. A child will be born to Fatimah, and you will nurse him with the milk that comes through your son Qutham.” And so it happened that Imam Hasan was born to Hazrat Fatimah, and I nursed him until he began to walk, and then I weaned him. Then I took him to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and seated him in the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) lap. He urinated on the Prophet (peace be upon him). Seeing this, I lightly struck him between his shoulders, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “May Allah have mercy on you! Have compassion for my son! You have caused my son pain.” I said, “O Messenger of Allah! Please take off this cloak of yours and wear another garment so that I may wash it.” The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “When a girl urinates, it is washed; for a boy’s urine, only sprinkling is sufficient.”
