حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يَعْلَى بْنَ حَكَمٍ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ صُهَيْرَةَ بِنْتِ جَيْفَرٍ ، قَالَتْ : حَجَجْنَا ، ثُمَّ أَتَيْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ ، فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ ، فَوَافَقْنَا عِنْدَهَا نِسْوَةً ، فَقَالَتْ : حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَبِيذَ الْجَرِّ " .
Sahira bint Jaifar says that once I went to Hazrat Safiyyah bint Huyayy and asked her about the ruling on nabidh (fermented drink) made in a jug. She replied that the Prophet (peace be upon him) declared nabidh made in a jug to be forbidden.
