حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ , قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا , قَالَ : وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَمَّا يُقْتَلُ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ ، فَقَالَ : أَخْبَرَتْنِي إِحْدَى نِسْوَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ : " أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْفَأْرَةِ ، وَالْعَقْرَبِ ، وَالْكَلْبِ الْعَقُورِ ، وَالْحُدَيَّا ، وَالْغُرَابِ " .
It is narrated from Ibn Umar that once someone asked the Prophet (peace be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah, after putting on the Ihram, which animals are we allowed to kill?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "There is no harm in killing five kinds of animals: the scorpion, the mouse, the kite, the crow, and the rabid dog."
