حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ فِي كِتَابٍ لِعَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ مَعَ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، قَالَ : فَسَأَلْتُ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ عَنِ الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ ؟ قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَكُلَّ سَاعَةٍ يَمْسَحُ الْإِنْسَانُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلَا يَنْزِعُهُمَا ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " .
Ata bin Yasar says that I asked the noble wife of the Prophet, Hazrat Maymunah, about wiping over leather socks (masah on khuffain), so she told me that once I submitted in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, "O Messenger of Allah, can a person wipe over the leather socks at any time, or will he have to take them off?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "Yes."
