حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , أَنَّهَا اسْتَفْتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي فَأْرَةٍ سَقَطَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ لَهُمْ جَامِدٍ ، فَقَالَ : " أَلْقُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا ، وَكُلُوا سَمْنَكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Maymunah that once someone asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about the ruling if a mouse falls into ghee and dies. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If the ghee is solid, then remove the part (where the mouse fell) and the ghee around it, and then use the remaining ghee.
