حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ مَرْوَانُ : كَيْفَ نَسْأَلُ أَحَدًا وَفِينَا أَزْوَاجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ فَبَعَثَ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَأَخْبَرَتْهُ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ ، فَنَشَلَتْ لَهُ كَتِفًا مِنْ قِدْرٍ ، فَأَكَلَهَا ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ ، فَصَلَّى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate the meat of the shoulder; during this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went for prayer without touching water with his hand.
