حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ وَلَدٍ لِابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ , قَالَتْ : كُنْتُ امْرَأَةً لِي ذَيْلٌ طَوِيلٌ ، وَكُنْتُ آتِي الْمَسْجِدَ ، وَكُنْتُ أَسْحَبُهُ ، فَسَأَلْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ ، قُلْتُ : إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ ذَيْلِي طَوِيلٌ ، وَإِنِّي آتِي الْمَسْجِدَ ، وَإِنِّي أَسْحَبُهُ عَلَى الْمَكَانِ الْقَذِرِ ، ثُمَّ أَسْحَبُهُ عَلَى الْمَكَانِ الطَّيِّبِ ، فَقَالَتْ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا مَرَّتْ عَلَى الْمَكَانِ الْقَذِرِ ، ثُمَّ مَرَّتْ عَلَى الْمَكَانِ الطَّيِّبِ ، فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ طَهُورٌ " .
Ibrahim bin Abdur Rahman's slave woman says that I used to drag the hem of my clothes on the ground while walking, and during this I would pass through places where there was filth as well as places that were clean and pure. Once I went to Umm Salamah and asked her about this issue. She replied that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "The place that comes after purifies it." (There is no harm.)
